We take the safety and security of children seriously. Because of this, we have gone to great lengths to ensure that when you drop your child off at the nursery or a Sunday School class they will be cared for by competent and reliable workers. Our safety measures include:

* Carefully screening all regular workers and helpers, and requiring each person to undergo a Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance.

* A hallway monitor is stationed at the desk throughout the morning. Our ushers patrol the corridors to keep an eye out for unfamiliar visitors. In a welcoming, friendly way, of course... :)

* Requiring two adults to be present in a room with children whenever possible.

* For classes up through second grade, dismissing children only as their parents pick them up, rather than simply letting them go free as soon as class is over.

* Clearly spelling out our security procedures (for such instances as activities and classes at the church, small groups and other church-sponsored activities which take place off church grounds, and transportation to and from such activities) in our Child Security Policy, which can be obtained from the church office.
